Have you checked out the newly remodeled library in Joliet? Very nice. Special shout out to them for continuing the Star Wars day event. It was greatly appreciated after the pandemic.
Went to purchase books for someone. Very helpful staff. Love the new layout.
We finished our breakfast at the Joliet route 66 diner and decided to check out the library across the street. It's 915am and had 45 mins to kill. We headed straight to the children's area and the librarian was very helpful. She told us that there's storyline at 945a if we were still around.
The children's area is divided into 3 sections; a classroom and 2 areas for younger children and older children respectively. One of the areas has a wooden red fire engine truck for younger kids to lounge around or read a book!
My daughter enjoyed the classroom to play with puzzles and magnetic board. She freely let her creativity loose there since it's shielded with windows (door has to remain open for safety reasons of course!) Then I read a few books to her before we left. Typical time at any library, just different options for us to do.
I go to this library everyday to wait on my kids school bus I even take them to this library to use the computers and check out books and stuff this man was in the library having a very explicit conversation on the phone I notified the staff and they asked did he say anything to me I told them no they said he was on the phone and to keep my kids upstairs I don’t understand what keeping the kids upstairs is going to do they are putting kids in danger and I don’t feel like this library is a safe zone for kids if you bring your kids here keep your kids near you at all times be sure to keep a very watchful eye out for predators because the staff definitely doesn’t care about the kid’s safety
Great place nice help full people
They are remodeling the bottom floor but the top floor is open and is the kids section where there are many books and very cool activities for your child, don't really have to make a review about the other floor because I bet it is going to look amazing plus it is very sanitary.
Staff was very helpful in helping me with my research.
We go to the summer reading kickoff every year (Star Wars Day) It's pretty fantastic to see so many Star wars cosplayers together.
